Mesh office chairs keep you cool through a full day at the desk. The open mesh back lets air circulate, so they suit warm offices and anyone who finds a padded back too hot, and most models weigh less and cost less than an equivalent upholstered chair.
Our range runs from the Teknik Star and Dams Tyler at £75–£77 ex VAT – a solid everyday operator chair – through mid-range task chairs like the Toto and Prism (£106–£129) to designer executive mesh chairs such as the Teknik Quantum and the award-winning Senator Ricco. Nearly all have adjustable seat height and a tilt mechanism; the better ones add adjustable arms, lumbar support and a headrest.
Choose a mesh seat and back for maximum airflow, or a mesh back with a padded fabric seat for extra comfort. If you have a back or posture issue, our ergonomic chairs go further on adjustability – or read our guide to the best office chairs for back pain.
